Martha's Bakery opened its doors in 1972 in NYC in the Hell's Kitchen area, serving the neighborhood with the old American dessert classics. After a successful takeoff, in the late 1980s, we decided to take Martha's Bakery to a new level. We relocated in Astoria first at 34-08 31st Avenue and expanded our menu to include not only the American classic recipes, but the new American classics like 8 varieties of our famous pound cakes, strawberry shortcakes, apple pies and our famous butter cream cupcakes.
Martha’s Country Bakery offers 15 different varieties of classic cakes including red velvet and cheesecake, bundt cakes, strudles, bread puddings and caramel crumb cakes.
Martha’s Country Bakery also offers 10 different fresh fruit pies from peach to apple and mixed berry tarts.
Martha’s Country Bakery serves gelato and assorted cappuccinos, coffees and lattes.
Martha’s Country Bakery has redesigned our bakery and gave it a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a place to relax from the stressful New York City life.
On February 16, 2009 we opened the doors to our our third store located in Bayside , Queens, at 41-06 Bell Boulevard.
